Lake Management Strategies Survey

Please see link to survey below.  This survey will ask the user several questions regarding possible management strategies in Lake Ronkonkoma and the watershed of the lake. The survey is divided into sections 1) in-lake management interests, 2) in-lake management attitudes, 3) watershed management interests, and 4) watershed management attitudes.
As many of you may know, Monica Matt, SUNY Oneonta Lake Management M.S. student, is developing a long-term management plan for Lake Ronkonkoma.  The survey results will be used to help determine the main topics, layout, and design of the lake management plan.  Note, as you go through the survey, some of the questions switch between 5 being "for" something and 5 being "against" something.  Read/answer questions carefully.  Thank you.

Memorial Plaque at Arrowhead Park

Many of you may know that Pat had been an active member of the Lake Ronkonkoma community.  She served on the Executive Board of the civic organization since its inception, holding a variety of positions.  She also chaired our Fall Festival for many years, organized many of our events and chaired our Scholarship Committee.  She advocated for the Town of Brookhaven to purchase the parcel of land that has been transformed into Arrowhead Park.  Pat was also active in the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society and Friends of Sachem Library.  She was a cheerleader and supporter for Lake Ronkonkoma and we hope that this plaque helps to acknowledge her efforts to better our community.

Thank you.
The Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization has placed a plaque at Arrowhead Park (corner of Pond Road & Church Street) in memory of Pat Duffield who passed away in 2014.
