Brookhaven’s “One Call:” 451-TOWN

Announcements
Brookhaven has unveiled its new Constituent Response
System “451-TOWN.” This new system uses a single
phone number to provide Brookhaven residents with
direct access to all town services and information.
By calling 451-TOWN, between 9 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday
through Friday except holidays, you can get
information on government and related business
services, with no call referrals and limited
transfers, and without having to figure out the
organization of the Town’s Departments.
When you call to request a service, the operator will give you a case number that can be used by both you and the Town to track the call. Requests are automatically routed to the proper department and are tracked and monitored by managers using a computerized system called “ServiceStat.”
Currently the Town receives over 5,000 calls a day, and the largest number of calls concern waste management and trash pick-up, with the second most popular destination being the Town Clerk’s Office, inquiring about licenses.
